Taliban Ministry of Defense Refutes Reports of Injury of Mullah Zakir

Taliban Ministry of Defense rejected reports which stated that Mullah Abdul Qayyum Zakir has been injured in the latest clashes in Panjshir province. Earlier, some sources had claimed that Zakir had been injured in the Panjshir war and had been taken to Kabul for treatment.

Zakir is one of the senior military commanders of the Taliban, who has been recently appointed as the Taliban war commander in Panjshir and Andarab.

With him in charge of the Taliban members, the battle in Panjshir against the National Resistance Front led by Ahmad Massoud, has intensified.
