US Envoy for Afghanistan, NRC Secy General Discuss Humanitarian Support For Afghans

Thomas West, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan, met Jan Egeland, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). West said that he discussed with Egeland the international community’s support for Afghans in humanitarian needs in a principled manner.

The Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council had visited Kabul in January with the aim of trying to lift the ban on women working in non-governmental organisations implemented by the Taliban.
