Paryani told Afghanistan International that women have been subjected to torture and violence over the last two years and have been deprived of human rights because of their gender.

She will be on a hunger strike for twelve days in Cologne, Germany, starting from September 1.

She said that there is "gender apartheid" ongoing in Afghanistan and the international community, especially Germany, should recognise this discrimination of the Taliban. Paryani also emphasised that the German government should ban any kind of engagement with the Taliban.

Preventing more financial support and blocking Taliban officials’ travels abroad Afghanistan are among other demands of Paryani.

The women's rights activist also demanded the release of political prisoners from the Taliban prisons.

Tamana Paryani is one of the Afghan women who, along with several other, took to the streets of Kabul during the first days of the Taliban's return to Afghanistan, demonstrating against the strict practices of the group.

Following these protests, the Taliban intelligence agency raided the house of Paryani in Kabul and arrested her and Paryani’s four sisters. They spent 26 days in the Taliban’s prison in Kabul.

A few months after being released from the custody of the Taliban, she, along with her sisters, fled Afghanistan and shifted to Germany.

In the last two years, the Taliban has deprived women of work and education and imposed strict policies against them. Despite widespread protests and international pressures, the Taliban has not retreated from its restrictive policies towards women.

In a statement, however, the Taliban did not point out the discussion about women’s work and education during their meeting with the OIC delegation.

The OIC delegation arrived in Kabul early on Thursday, and over the last two days, met Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban's foreign minister, and Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the group’s Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs.

On Friday, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation expressed hope that meetings with Taliban officials would continue to resolve issues of concern.

In a statement about the meeting with the OIC delegation, the Taliban said that Abdul Kabir spoke about the end of the war in Afghanistan and claimed that the group doesn’t allow linguistic, ethnic, and religious differences in Afghanistan.

Earlier, Afghanistan International, citing its sources, reported that Badri was injured in a traffic incident on the Herat-Kandahar highway.

In a statement on Friday night, the Central Bank of the Taliban, said that Badri’s health condition is stable.

The bank added that Badri "has been treated and will soon return to work in the central bank".

The Central Bank’s statement also confirmed that one person was killed in the accident.

Images that reached Afghanistan International show that after this incident, the Taliban transferred Badri to Kandahar by helicopter.

Hedayatullah Badri is one of the well-known commanders of the Taliban. He previously worked as the group’s finance minister.

He said that there are serious concerns about the human rights situation in Afghanistan.

On Friday, Bennett wrote on social media platform X that he met Turkish government officials and UN entities during the visit.

Turkiye is one of the countries which has kept its embassy open in Kabul after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, and the country's ambassador often meets Taliban officials in Kabul. On the other hand, Turkiye has hosted Taliban delegations in Ankara on several occasions.

Despite the unofficial relations that Turkiye has with the Taliban, it hosts a large number of political leaders, parliamentarians and former government officials opposing the Taliban.

According to the sources, Badri has been transferred to a hospital in Kandahar.

The Taliban has not officially commented on the traffic accident and health condition of Badri.

Hedayatullah Badri is one of the senior officials of the Taliban. He was the former finance minister of the Taliban.
