Iranian & Uzbek Officials Discuss Humanitarian Crisis in Afghanistan

Ismatulla Irgashev, Uzbekistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, and Ali Bagheri Kani, political deputy of the Iranian foreign ministry, discussed solutions for the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

In a statement on Tuesday, Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry stated that Iran's deputy foreign minister emphasised on Uzbekistan's participation in establishing of long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.

The statement added that Uzbek and Iranian officials also discussed the cooperation between the two countries in Afghanistan.
