The Taliban’s Supreme Court announced that a man in Zabul province has been publicly flogged for engaging in extramarital relations.

This court stated on Tuesday that the accused received 39 lashes.

According to the Taliban Supreme Court statement, this individual was punished in the presence of local officials in the Shahjoy district of Zabul.

Following the takeover of power in Afghanistan, the Taliban has resumed physical punishments such as flogging, amputation, and execution.
