UN Calls For Protection Of Civilians In Pakistani Strikes

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said Pakistani strikes inside Afghanistan have caused casualties, destroyed hospitals and homes, and displaced “tens of thousands” of people.
OCHA described the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure as a legal obligation and called on Pakistan to uphold it.
Earlier, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said that in five days of fighting between the Taliban and Pakistan, at least 42 civilians had been killed and 104 others injured. According to UNAMA, women and children are among the casualties.
