Ghulam Ali Sadiqi, head of justice department in Khorasan Razavi province of Iran, announced that the execution sentence of Abdul Latif Muradi, the assailant of three clerics in Mashhad city, had been implemented at the Wakil Abad prison of Mashhad city on Monday.
He emphasized that all the processes based on law and Sharia with the observation of three principles of accuracy, precision and speed, have been considered in the 77 days since the time of the incident.
According to the statement released by the justice department of the Khorsan Razavi, Abdul Latif attacked three clerics on March 23, 2022, inside the shrine of the eighth Imam of Shiites. He killed two clerics and injured one. Some of the sources say that the murderer was an Afghan citizen with Uzbek ethnicity.
