Two Russians Hurt As Powerful Blast Rocks Russian Embassy Neighbourhood in Kabul
Two Russian citizens, a diplomat and a security guard were wounded when a powerful blast rocked the vicinity of the Russian Embassy on Darulaman Road in western Kabul on Monday, state-owned news agency RIA reported, citing a source.
Several residents of Kabul's district 6 told Afghanistan International that around 10:50 am, a strong blast wave jolted their homes.
Taliban police had earlier said that a suicide bomber had detonated explosives near the entrance of the Russian Embassy in Kabul, adding that the attacker was shot dead by armed guards as he approached the gate.
