Bodyguard Kills Former MP in Kabul, Says Taliban

Khalid Zadran, the Taliban spokesperson for Kabul Police, said that Mursal Nabizada, a former member of the parliament of Afghanistan, has been killed by one of her bodyguards. Zadran added that the suspect has been arrested and he has confessed to the murder.

Zadran stressed that investigation is underway to unravel the reason for the murder of the former MP.

Nabizada, a former member of the House of Representatives, was shot dead on January 16 at her house in Ahmad Shah Baba Mena in Kabul

Along with her, a bodyguard had been killed and one of her brothers had been injured.
