Belarus Police Detains Afghan Immigrants

The Belarusian police announced that they have arrested a group of illegal immigrants. According to Belarus police, 94 people, including Afghan citizens, have been arrested. Other arrested immigrants, include citizens of Algeria, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Morocco and Pakistan.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus announced that none of these immigrants had a valid visa for Belarus.

Recently, many Afghan citizens have chosen Belarus as a way to enter Europe.

After the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban, thousands of Afghan citizens fled the country. Many such individuals died in an attempt to reach Europe through illegal routes.

On Friday, the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria had announced that the bodies of 18 Afghan refugees had been found in the country.
