Kazakhstan To Hold Economic Meeting On Afghanistan

The Tass news agency, quoting Kazakhstan’s foreign ministry, reported that the Kazakhstan-Afghanistan economic meeting will be held in Astana next week.

On July 27-28, Astana had hosted a meeting of representatives of five Central Asian countries and the US.

It has been said that the representatives of Afghan private companies are going to participate in the next economic meeting.

No details about the presence of Taliban representatives in this meeting have been divulged.

On Friday, Tass news agency quoted Kazakhstan’s foreign ministry as saying that more than 150 representatives from various sectors, including Afghan banks, will participate in the upcoming meeting.

It has been reported that the representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Kazakh Export Company, and a number of representatives of Kazakh banks and logistics companies will hold talks with the participating Afghans.

It has also been said that an exhibition of Afghan products will be held on the sidelines of this meeting.

Tass added that nearly 70 companies from Afghanistan are going to participate in this exhibition. The exhibition will be held on August 4-5.
