The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has reported a surge in violence against the Shia Hazara community in Kabul, Baghlan, and Herat over the past month.

On Monday, UNAMA urged for thorough investigations into the recent spate of violence, holding perpetrators accountable, and ensuring protection for those in danger.

Additionally, UNAMA extended its sympathy to the victims through a message on the social platform X.
