Pakistan Special Representative for Afghanistan Resigns

Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, has resigned on Wednesday.

Sadiq said on Twitter that he is resigning from his position after nearly three years of serving at the position. He said that he will move on to pursue personal activities.

Sadiq added, "I deeply appreciate the hard work of many of my colleagues who spent long hours to make Pakistan-Afghanistan relationship work.”

Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, had appointed Mohammad Sadiq as the country's special representative for Afghanistan in 2019.
