While the Taliban banned the celebration of Nowroz in Afghanistan, Bakhtar News Agency announced that the group held a ceremony to celebrate spring with the “Gol e Narenj” gathering.

The Gol e Narenj ceremony was held in eastern Nangarhar province.

The Taliban-controlled Bakhtar News Agency reported that "several officials of the government of the Taliban, writers, and poets of Pashtunistan participated in this programme”.

According to the report, the Taliban allowed other artistic performances during the Gol e Narenj gathering in Nangarhar province.
