Ismatullah Irgashev, Uzbekistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, and Jonathan Henick, the American ambassador in Tashkent, discussed the situation in Afghanistan.

The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) announced that there are about 20,000 community-based classes in Afghanistan that educate more than 600,000 children. UNICEF added that it will expand educational opportunities across Afghanistan in 2023.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Pakistan's foreign ministry spokesperson, said in a press conference on Thursday that Afghanistan is "unstable". Baloch added that due to instability in Afghanistan and the region, many people and Pakistan security forces’ members have lost their lives.

The Taliban’s Supreme Court announced that on Thursday, 18 men and nine women have been flogged on various charges in Charikar city of northern Parwan province. The Taliban court also announced that three other people have been flogged in eastern Paktika Province.

Sources reported that Taliban forces and Pakistani soldiers exchanged fire in the border area of Dangam district of Kunar province. Sources told Afghanistan International that the gunfight started after Pakistani forces started to build an installation at the border point.

The Taliban announced that they executed a man accused of murder in Farah province on Wednesday. Senior Taliban leaders including the group’s Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers of Interior, Foreign Affairs, Education, and Justice, visited Farah to watch the execution.

Local sources from Farah province confirmed that the Taliban will hang two men and stone a woman to death in Farah province. Taliban local authorities have asked residents in Farah to visit the province’s stadium to watch the stoning and execution on Wednesday.

Afghan female students of Grade 12 are going to attend an exam, on Wednesday, across Afghanistan. The Taliban’s ministry of education announced that all subjects of 12th grade will be included in the exam.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense announced that Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob, the group’s minister of defense, met the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Both sides have discussed trade and the facilitation of business services for Afghans.

Pakistan has killed 13 commanders and fighters of the Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) over the past week, according to the Pakistan embassy in Kabul. The embassy added that two Pakistani soldiers have been killed in the clashes too.

The Supreme Court of the Taliban announced on Tuesday that a resident of Kuz Kunar district of Nangarhar Province has been publicly flogged 39 times on the charge of sodomy. According to the Taliban, the flogging sentence had been issued on Thursday by a "Sharia court".

Local sources reported an explosion in the exchange market of Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province, on Tuesday. Sources said that around 10 were injured in the explosion and have been transferred to the provincial hospital.

Local sources reported that the Taliban arrested YouTuber Salahshor Kamrak, and his colleagues in western Kabul. The Taliban raided Kamrak's residence in Dawazda Imam township in District 13 of Kabul and detained the YouTuber and his colleagues.

Mohammad Asef Waziri, the spokesperson of Taliban police in Balkh province announced that 7 people have been killed and 6 others have been injured in the explosion in Mazar-e-Sharif city. Waziri added that took place in District 3 of the city and targeted government employees.

The Taliban’s ministry of education will hold an exam for Afghan girls of the 12th grade on Wednesday. Sources said that the exam will be similar to the university entrance exam, but the questions will be chosen from 12th-grade subjects.

After over two months in Taliban detention, the group has handed over the dead bodies of a tribal elder and his son to their families in Ghor province. Ahmad Khan and his son Sharafuddin Rasouli had been arrested in Firozkoh city of Ghor about 70 days ago by the Taliban.

Taliban spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, announced that Friday's attack on the Pakistani embassy in Kabul has been carried out by a foreign citizen ISIS member, in collusion with the "insurgents". Mujahid added that the attacker has been arrested.

The UN Security Council has lifted the travel ban on Mullah Khairullah Khairkhaw, the Taliban Minister of Information and Culture for 10 days. This exemption from sanctions has been imposed from December 1 to 10, 2022, so that Khairkhaw can travel to Kazan city in Russia.
