Thomas West, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan, said that there is a need for national political dialogue in Afghanistan. West described the situation for Afghan girls, women, and minorities as repressive and the public expression as shrinking.
China's Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs, Yue Xiaoyong, urged the United States to take responsibility for the reconstruction of Afghanistan. At the Moscow meeting, Xiaoyong also said that they should urge the United States to release the frozen assets of Afghanistan.
Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, called for an inclusive government in Afghanistan at the Moscow meeting. Qomi said that such a government will facilitate Afghanistan with a political position and recognition in the international community.
At the opening of the Moscow Consultative Meeting, Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, said that the crisis of transition of power in Afghanistan has remained unresolved. Kabulov added that Russia is concerned about ISIS activities in northern Afghanistan.
Iran’s foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian and Pakistan’s foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari discussed Afghanistan and regional cooperation. The Iranian foreign ministry announced that Abdullahian emphasised on resolving the challenges of Afghan immigrants.
The Moscow consultative meeting on Afghanistan kicked off on Wednesday. Representatives from Russia, China, India, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are participating in the meeting.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Transportation said that the overflights in Afghan airspace have increased, and 100 aircraft pass through the Afghan airspace in 24 hours. However, according to flightradar24, except for a few domestic flights no aircraft is visible in Afghan airspace.
Mohammad Yar Jawad, spokesperson of the Taliban’s 203 Mansoori Corps, said that Taliban and Pakistani soldiers had been engaged in gunfire along the Durand line in Dand-e-Patan district of Paktia province. Jawad said that the Pakistani military first committed the violation.
The US Department of State said it is launching an Afghan family reunification landing page, which contains information on how Afghans in the United States can reunite with their family members, depending on their immigration status or method of entry to the US.

Khalil ur Rahman Haqqani, the Taliban minister of refugees, said that the mistreatment of Afghan migrants in Pakistan harms the friendly relations between Kabul and Islamabad. Haqqani asked Pakistan to provide solutions to the problems of Afghan immigrants.
In a campaign to support women in Afghanistan, a group of Afghan women sent 100 letters to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Monday. According to the organisers of the campaign the dire situation of women oppressed by the Taliban has been explained in these letters.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, announced that the group's leader Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, has ordered judges to fully implement aspects of Islamic law. Taliban leader’s order includes implementing death sentences for those cases which fulfill the conditions.
Sources from Kabul confirmed that the Taliban handed over the body of a baker to his family after 45 days in detention. In a video clip received by Afghanistan International, signs of torture are visible all over the body of the baker.
Tomas Niklasson, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for Afghanistan, said that the EU will continue to assist Afghans through international organisations. In 2022, through the World Food Program (WFP) only, EU assistance reached 427,000 people in 27 provinces.
A Taliban committee in charge of rounding up beggars in Kabul announced on Saturday that they have marshalled 17,262 beggars from different areas of the capital city.
The Taliban has destroyed the tomb of Naqibullah Akhund, one of the former commanders of Jamiat-e-Islami, in Kandahar. Mullah Naqibullah Akhund, a Pashtun, was one of the leading commanders of Jamiat-e-Islami, a Tajik-led anti-Soviet Jihadi party in Afghanistan.
The Taliban announced their seizure of major weapons and military equipment depots in Kabul and Sar-e-Pul provinces on Saturday. The Taliban officials claimed that the weapons have been seized from district 17 of Kabul and different regions of Sar-e-Pul province.
The National Resistance Front (NRF) on Saturday said that the United Nations General Assembly resolution on Afghanistan "has many paradoxes". The NRF added that the UN has asked the Taliban to fight terrorist groups, while the group "is itself a major part of global terrorism".
European Union (EU) ambassadors met with several Afghan women rights activists in Brussels. Tomas Niklasson, EU Special Representative for Afghanistan, said that they discussed their concerns and ideas for EU support to Afghanistan.
Qalandar Ebad, Taliban’s health minister, announced that 150,000 female employees, including doctors, nurses and vaccinators, work in Afghanistan's health centers. Ebad has counted the United Nations’ vaccinators among the health ministry employees.
